History

It is the 26th Century when our story begins, as far as we can tell.  The story takes place in Atlanta, Georgia, in a future version of the United States, perhaps merely softly different from our own time.

Technocracy takes place in the distant aftermath of an event referred to as The Ravaging, a period of sustained thermonuclear war between the great powers of the world.  The Ravaging began in 2012 and lasted for an indeterminate amount of time.
